During this Eid, instead of celebrating, we found ourselves sitting outside the ICU of Baby Memorial Hospital in Kannur, praying with tear-filled eyes for the life of my son. The cries of a mother pleading for help for her child are heartbreaking – how can we stand by and do nothing?

Sainul Ameen, a 16-year-old boy from Paruthiyil near Valiyannur in Kannur district, is the beloved son of Mr. Shamseer, an auto-rickshaw driver. He met with a tragic accident and has suffered severe injuries to his spinal cord, liver, lungs, and head. He is currently in a critical condition on a ventilator at Baby Memorial Hospital, Kannur.

So far, three major surgeries have been completed, and the medical expenses have already exceeded ₹7 lakhs. Doctors estimate that around ₹25 lakhs will be required to continue the lifesaving treatment needed to save this young boy. Without immediate and expert medical care, his condition could worsen rapidly.

This family, living in a rented house and surviving on the daily earnings of an auto driver, has no means to raise such a large sum. With no other hope left, they now turn to the global Malayali community with a plea for help.
